the board

The board of directors for Soccer Moms for Peace, Inc consists of Kristi Holmes Espiñeira, President, and Andres Espiñeira M.  The members of the board do not receive any form of compensation directly or indirectly for our work.  We make no personal profit from any of the products we sell, nor do we draw salaries for our work for the company.

Kristi Holmes Espiñeira, a full-time mom, writer, and volunteer, became a soccer mom and bought a minivan in the same week in 1999, when her son began playing soccer. The Espiñeira family lives in a suburb of Denver, Colorado with their eight-year-old daughter, eleven-year-old son (both love playing soccer!), and a Keeshond dog named Nifty. She has traded the minivan for a hybrid SUV, but she still loves being a soccer mom.

Kristi has an A.B. in English from Stanford University and graduate degrees from the University of Arizona and University of California Los Angeles.

Andrés Espiñeira M., an entrepreneur, sailor, and avid photographer, loves to coach kids' soccer.  Andrés spends the bulk of his time incubating business ideas; his current project is Pixorial, Inc. SMFP is his first non-profit endeavour.  Andrés is a high-tech executive with experience in corporate strategy, product marketing, and software development in companies such as OpenGrid Inc, Netscape Comunications, and Oracle Corporation.

Andrés has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Master in Management from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.
